Common Kelvinator faults we see
The old faithful losing its chill. An older Kelvinator that gradually warms up often needs a thermostat or a re-gas after a slow leak. Both are assessable quickly, and both cost far less than people fear.
Perished door seals. Decades of door slams take a toll. A new seal stops the constant running, the icing and the power bill creep, and it is one of the most cost effective repairs on any fridge.
Freezers icing up or sweating. Chest and upright Kelvinator freezers commonly present with heavy frost, sweating cabinets or lids that no longer seal. Most of it is repairable, and a freezer full of food is worth a phone call.
Newer frost free faults. Current Kelvinator models are frost free and share their engineering with sibling brands, so defrost and sensor faults follow familiar patterns with good parts availability.
